Life inside

Eagles' Wings IV

(Ying De Chi Bang IV)

It is a real joy to walk into the apartment we call Eagles' Wings Four. There are 14 children there now. Each one was considered hopeless and helpless, but as each day passes baby steps are being taken and these little ones are "waking up" as if from a nightmare.
In the orphanage these precious ones never got out of bed. Now they are playing on the floor, making noises trying to communicate, learning to dress and feed themselves, responding to music, enjoying watching children's programs on a dvd, but best of all, getting all the "mother touching" they need to begin to thrive.
Their diet has been expanded greatly so that they now have the full range of food. Those who can't swallow lumps, get their food pureed with a bamixer. It would be easier for the ayis to just shovel the food in, but patiently and skillfully, the ayis are teaching as many of the children as possible to sit at the little table like a family and learn to feed themselves.  Yes, it makes a mess, but if you happened to drop in at meal time, you would get such joy in your being to see these little kids who are no longer hopeless and no longer helpless.
Christmas Day was such fun for these kids, if they ever got a toy before, the orphanage staff rarely let them keep it in their hands or in their beds.  Now they have personal possessions and they are allowed to keep them. They are even learning to put things away themselves when they are finished using or playing with them.
If you cant drop in on them, take a look at the photos in the slide show and rejoice with me, that the Father of Orphans has made sure his children have now come home to their very own family in Eagles' Wings Four. The COAT Inc family is an exciting place to be. If you are reading this, and you already belong to the COAT Inc family, a very big thankyou for loving our children.  If you are not part of our family, you don't have to sponsor, you just have love them and their Father takes care of the rest.
