Margaret Mason (COAT's secretary), Sylvia (a COAT Inc committee member), Linda Shum and her 9 year old granddaughter, Ebonnie stayed for four weeks. MAY 2009 TEAM
In May, 6 Australians set off to go to Jiaozuo. Chris and Russel Jones could only go for two weeks, but they packed a lot in during that time.
Russell built a bunk bed designed especially for the disabled children in Eagles' Wings Four. Chris shopped till she dropped to get bargains to bring home to sell at a profit to help the COAT coffers to keep all our children in good condition.
Margaret did lots of secretary stuff and enjoyed spending time with the children especially Si Yan whom she sponsored after her first baby, Gao Sheng was adopted. Margaret takes great delight in keeping up with Brett Gao Sheng in his forever family in America. The next Nai Nai for Eagles' Wings One will arrive on October 19. She is Vicki Bateman and she will stay for one month.
Sylvia was on her third trip and she was left behind as house Nai Nai in Eagles' Wings One for six months. She will come home on October 14. The children and staff alike were thrilled to have her back and she has the home running well and the children are thriving.
Linda had a special trip as it included her nine year old If you would like the experience of living in Eagles' Wings for a while as a house parent, make your application via the contact us page and we will send you an application form.
granddaughter. Ebonnie's family have sponsored Liu Er for six years and it was amazing for the two girls, one nine, one ten, to spend a month together in Eagles' Wings Two. Because Ebonnie was along, Linda went to Disneyland in Hong Kong and the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian. When Ebonnie was in grade one, Linda was her classroom teacher, and now she is in grade four, the trip was like a long school excursion being immersed in the culture and the language. She celebrated her ninth birthday in Eagles' Wings.
