Hong Wei

Hello, my name is Hong Wei, my birthdate is 18th October 1996 and I live in Eagles' Wings II. When I was about six years old my parents abandoned me and my older sister Hong Yan. We were brought up in the orphanage until Eagles' Wings III was opened in December 2006. Last year I moved to Eagles' Wings II so that I could go to the local state school. I enjoy reading the books that Linda Ma Ma has bought for us. The staff are very proud of my study achievements and I hope to progress further next term. I enjoy watching the world go by and as a result of this I see what Linda Ma Ma and others are doing for me and the other children, I really appreciate all that has been done for us. My best friend is Xing Xing and we have lots of fun together, we play Chinese chess together quite a lot. We also enjoy travelling around town on the Trike. We have to do chores and we usually end up outside on the play area having lots of fun.

We have a very busy week day schedule! We leave for school at 7am and return for lunch just before noon. We have a rest and then return to school at 1.30pm and arrive home at 5pm, just in time for dinner. That is a long day! But it does not end there... COAT employs a tutor who arrives at 6pm and helps us all with our school homework and any areas where are struggling or having some difficulties. At around 9pm we get ready for bed. Since week-nights are busy, Donna Ma Ma established Saturday nights as games night. Donna Ma Ma said that I am very quick to learn new games and always have a great attitute, win or lose. We play several table games and we all get very loud and have a great time together - just like one big happy family.
