CHEW GIM'S NEWSLETTER - May 2011
Today is a day for cleaning of our home in Eagles' Wings 3, almost all the children are involved. While one Ayi takes a few of the younger and less mobile children out for morning walk, the bigger and more able children volunteer to stay behind to clean up the place. They were all very excited and joyful in doing their part in the up keeping of the place that they love and live in. Tian Xi is particularly happy in doing the washing of the rubber floor mat.
It is a long way, but the children surely have make progress in their behavior
since I joined EW3 last year. Those who have been lazy have also started to help around in the home, those who have been fierce has put in effort to be gentle with their 'siblings'; one of them even got bullied by the younger one instead and yet he would remain gentle with them. I certainly hope the change in their character will continue and they will develop to be men and women of love and beneficial to the country.
The disabled children are certainly not disabled in their ability to help around in the home. They help in arranging tables and chairs before meals, clearing tables and stacking chairs after meals, sweeping and mopping the floor, hanging clothes to dry and folding of dry clothes. They are great helpers.
Our children also received good reports from visitors for their good behavior. Certainly they are not perfect and have their moment but I can see that it occurs less frequent for those who use to play up in the past. However, our children are growing and some of the little ones are still trying
testing the limits regularly. Challenges come one after another like tidal waves, without ceasing in a home with 16 kids of various age, I crave your continue support in making a different in each and every one of these little lives. "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Pr. 22:6
