This is Director Li JiFeng at work in his office.
Director Li is the head of Jiaozuo welfare home and works closely
with COAT to ensure the development of the care facilities
and the lives of the children who live in the welfare home.
Jiaozuo welfare home was founded in 1964 and it is the only
government run social welfare institution in Jiaozuo. The main
task of the institution is to care for the elderly who have no
relatives,disabled children and abandoned babies. The
institution aims to provide medical care, special education
and rehabilitation.
Jiaozuo welfare home move to its current accommodation in 2002
and plans are in place for the facility to relocate again soon,
possibly as early as 2009 / 2010.
In recent years Jiaozuo welfare home has received various
regional awards from the authorities, including
best provincial welfare institution.
